Our premium replacement parts line include power cylinder, power cylinder heads, pistons, wrist pins, bearings, bushings, dry exhaust and intake manifolds, and valve train parts. On the compressor side, we specialize in pistons, rods, valves, cylinder refurbishing, and similar products and services. Component parts manufacturing begins with patterns, in which molds are derived to produce a casting. Castings are cast from a variety of alloy materials, depending on the replacement part. Different materials are heat-treated or stress relieved, inspected prior to machining, and all material traceability numbers are stamped and reported for future reference. In order to serve our industry and related needs, we keep a large stock of raw materials and castings. Our replacement parts manufacturing operations are departmentalized into specific areas for the best in quality and control procedures.
Our departmentalized facility includes computerized American numeric control equipment for large volume work and repetitious functions. Heat-treating, carburizing, hardening, and stress relieving are critical steps that we take in all material applications. Many of these critical operations are performed on various parts and equipment. All equipment meets high quality standards for maximum life. All cylindrical OD and ID dimensions are finished with standards that meet or exceed API specifications and that will meet or exceed OEM specifications on materials, finishes, and dimensional characteristics. Our quality control department has the utmost standards with full traceability that is kept on file and furnished upon request.

Bearings
For over 40 years, the gas transmission and processing industry has depending on United manufactured bearings for reliability and long life. Our many design improvements simplify installation, improve
performance, and improve engine life that can be applied to a variety of
industries, such as gas transmission, power generation, electrical generation,
and refining. The bearing division at United specializes in bronze back babbitt,
aluminum, and tri-metal bearings. This process begins with a material that is prebored
for a specific, micro-thin, laminated babbitt thickness. It is then cast with
high tin babbitt and machined to size. All components are inspected throughout
the manufacturing process. Prior to completion, all bearings are split, crushes are milled, holes are drilled, and oil dams are machined.
Shock Dampers
The purpose of the shock damper is to dampen shock. This piece of equipment plays a critical role in obtaining maximum engine performance by simplifying engine balance and virtually eliminating maintenance cose through less valve train wear. The major problem that occurs within a gas compressor engine valve trains occur due to loose linkage, which does not allow the injection valve to receive uniform lift each cycle of the engine. The shock damper solves the loose linkage problems and greatly increases the amount of uniform lift needed for even balancing.
The application of hydraulic lifters in the gas transmission and processing industry has resulted in complicated component part changes that are not readily interchangeable with the original equipment. The shock damper is interchangeable with the original equipment adjusting screws; its performance is unaffected by the close proximity of exhaust systems, which greatly affect hydraulic push rods.

Split Cam Lobes
United can conveniently change the lobe without removing the camshaft. THe cam lobe is split for easy removal and replacement, reducing downtime to an absolute minimum. Our hands are old at meeting and exceeding OEM specifications. Material selection, quality fabrication, heat treatment, uniformity of hardness (60-62 RC), unit cost, and prompt delivery are our specialty.
